During the latest excavations in Alexandria's Eastern Harbor, which started in 1991, numerous pottery jars and vessels were discovered.
Many of these jars were carried on boats that sank in the port of Alexandria. They contained grains, oils, perfumes, wine and many other goods.
This vessel has a large mouth, a short neck and two short handles. The rounded body is undecorated.
