Fragment of a Stela with Seven Columns of Hieroglyphs

A fragment of a stela, an upright stone with a sculpted surface, shows part of seven columns of hieroglyphic inscriptions, praising the god Amun. The fragment still retains its original colors.

It may date to the New Kingdom when the cult of the god Amun spread and flourished and became the official cult of the Egyptian Empire.

The top of the stela is painted blue with yellow stars to represent the sky.
