Description
This particularly beautiful bifacially worked flint knife has a curved blade and a simple handle with one shoulder. The artefact, found in a 1st Dynasty burial at Abydos, undoubtedly had a ceremonial function. It may have been a ceremonial weapon or a magical instrument for ritual use.

Dit bijzonder fraaie, tweevlakkig bewerkt vuurstenen mes heeft een gekromd lemmet en een enkelvoudig geschouderd handvat. Het voorwerp, gevonden in een graf uit de 1e dynastie in Abydos, had ongetwijfeld een ceremoniële functie. Misschien was het een pronkwapen of een magisch instrument voor ritueel gebruik.
Ce couteau bifacial, en silex, particulièrement beau, est muni d'une lame incurvée et d'un simple manche. L'artefact, découvert à Abydos, dans une tombe de la Ière Dynastie, avait indubitablement une fontion cérémonielle, arme rituelle ou instrument magique.
Dieses besonders schöne beidseitig bearbeitete Feuersteinmesser besitzt eine gekrümmte Klinge und einen einfachen Griff mit Schulter. Das Artefakt, das aus einer Bestattung der 1. Dynastie in Abydos stammt, diente zweifellos einem zeremoniellen Zweck. Es könnte eine Zeremonialwaffe oder ein Zaubergerät für den rituellen Gebrauch gewesen sein.
Questo coltello di selce particolarmente bello e lavorato sulle due facce ha una lama incurvata e un manico semplice. L'oggetto, rinvenuto in una tomba della I dinastia ad Abydos, aveva sicuramente una funzione cerimoniale. Forse era un'arma simbolica o uno strumento magico di uso rituale.
Esta magnífica faca de sílex, trabalhada em sílex bifacialmente, tem a lâmina curva e um cabo simples com um ombro. O artefacto, encontrado num sepultamento da I dinastia em Abidos, tinha sem dúvida uma funçao ceremonial. Talvez tenha sido uma arma ceremonial ou um instrumento mágico com fins rituais.
Este bello cuchillo de piedra ha sido trabajado en ambas caras y presenta una hoja curvada y un mango con moldura. El objeto fue hallado en un enterramiento de la dinastía I en Abydos, y tuvo sin lugar a dudas una función ceremonial. Quizá se utilizó en una ceremonia de armas o como instrumento mágico en un rito.
