Description
Representation of the god Anubis, with the head of a jackal and the body of a man in a walking position. The arms are down at his sides and the hands are closed. This god, pre-eminently funerary in character, was seen as the protector of the necropolis and of the dead, and as the inventor of mummification, which process he applied to his brother Osiris, when the last had been murdered by Seth.

Esta divinidad, eminentemente funeraria, fue considerado como el protector de las necrópolis, de los difuntos y el inventor de la momificación que aplicó a su hermano Osiris, cuando fue asesinado por Seth.
