Description
A row of ceramic vessels, among which this jar stand, was found placed along the wall of a rock-cut tomb at Mirgissa/Iken. It is asymmetrical, has a simple flared upper lip and a convex double-beaded lower lip. The clay is coarse, common, buff-coloured and has been polished. The two sides bears bands of white paint.

Le long de la paroi d'une tombe rupestre de Mirgissa/Iken étaient alignée une rangée de poteries parmi lesquelles ce support de vase. Il est asymétrique avec la lèvre supérieure évasée simple et la lèvre inférieure à double bourrelet convexe. La pâte grossière commune chamois a été lissée. Les deux bords portent des bandes de peinture blanche.
