Description

Polished cup made from a coarse clay with large quantities of organic temper. The bottom is flat, the body flared and the convex lip incised with a groove at its base.  Soot stains found on the inside of the vessel, as well as a chipped mark on the lip, indicate that this object was used as a lamp.

Coupe en pâte commune grossière, à fort dégraissant végétal, lissée. Le fond est plat, la panse évasée, la lèvre convexe marquée à la base par un sillon. Des taches de suie à l'intérieur et un éclat sur la lèvre laissent supposer que l'objet a été employé comme lampe.
