Description
These four rivets are rectangular, with slightly larger and flatter extremities. They were found in a tomb in which a dagger was also found, 41,5 cm in length with a bronze blade 29,2 cm long and 2,5 cm wide and with a trapezoid-shaped ivory handle that is 10,6 cm long and 5,2 cm wide (see L 510). The intermediary element, made of turtle shell, was destroyed. The pieces were held together by the four rivets at the shoulder of the blade. A similar dagger was found in Tomb KT 9 at Mirgissa/Iken (see A. Vila, ''Le cimetière Kerma'', Mirgissa I, fig. 18 B).
