Description
Elongated oval-shaped jar that looks like a termite egg, with a neckless mouth and a simple rounded lip, made from a common buff clay. Throwing marks are visible in the lower third of the vessel while the upper section was smoothened. There is a white colour on the body. This vase is an example of the almost industrial production of vessles of Egyptian potters, many examples of which have been found at Mirgissa/Iken and elsewhere in Nubia.
