Description
Large cooking bowl, which can be identified on the basis of its bottom, which is reinforced with alluvial clay applied with the fingers, and by the black soot that still covers the vessel. Its shape is regular (rounded bottom, restricted mouth and simple lip). The surface has been was smoothened on the inside with a brush and polished on the outside. Its colour varies from beige-orange to black. A decorative pattern of triangles filled with lines has been incised with care on the lip. This model is typical of the Middle Kerma period and more rarely among the C-Group.

Grand bol de cuisson, identifiable par le fond renforcé d'une couche de limon appliquée avec les doigts et par le noir de fumée qui le recouvre encore. La forme est habituelle (fond arrondi, ouverture resserrée avec lèvre simple). La surface a été lissée à l'intérieur avec une brosse et polie à l'extérieur. La couleur varie du beige orangé au noir. Un décor de triangles hachurés, incisé finement orne la lèvre. Ce modèle est caractéristique du Kerma Moyen et plus rare au Groupe C.
