Description
The bell appeared in Egypt from the end of the New Kingdom onwards. It served to mark time and to drive away the evil spirits from the temples. This example of bronze comes from the excavations of the Egypt Exploration Fund at El-Bahnasa in 1904-1905 and dates from the Graeco-Roman Period.

Het klokje verschijnt vanaf het eind van het Nieuwe Rijk in Egypte. Het had tot doel de tijd aan te geven en kwaadwillende geesten uit de tempels te verjagen. Dit exemplaar uit brons is afkomstig uit de opgravingen van het Egypt Exploration Fund in El-Behnasa in 1904-1905 en dateert uit de Grieks-Romeinse periode.
La clochette apparaît en Égypte à partir de la fin du Nouvel Empire. Elle servait à marquer le temps et à chasser les mauvais esprits des temples. Cet exemplaire en bronze provient des fouilles de l'Egypt Exploration Fund à El-Bahnasa en 1904-1905 et date de la Période Gréco-romaine.
Glocken erscheinen in Ägypten am Ende des Neuen Reiches. Sie dienten der Zeitangabe und der Vertreibung böser Geister aus den Tempeln. Dieses Exemplar aus Bronze stammt aus den Grabungen des Egypt Exploration Fund 1904-1905 in el-Bahnasa und datiert in die Griechisch-Römische Zeit.
La campanella apparve in Egitto a partire dalla fine del Nuovo Regno. Serviva a scandire il tempo e a cacciare gli spiriti malvagi dai templi. Questo esemplare di bronzo proviene dagli scavi dell'Egypt Exploration Fund a El-Bahnasa nel 1904-1905 e data all'Epoca Greco-Romana.
A campainha apareceu no Egipto a partir de finais do Império Novo. Servia para marcar a passagem do tempo e afastar os maus espíritos dos templos. Este exemplar de bronze provém das escavaçöes do Egypt Exploration Fund em El-Bahnasa em 1904-1905 e data da Época Greco-romana.
