Description

Vase placed at the feet of the deceased within a Kerma burial. The body of the vessel is globular. The orifice is neckless and edged by a convex lip.  The clay is calcareous and contains large quantities of ground mineral temper.  The vessel was polished and is of Egyptian manufacture.

Vase placé aux pieds du mort dans une sépulture Kerma. La panse est globulaire. L'ouverture sans col est bordée d'une lèvre convexe. La pâte, de l'argile calcaire contenant un fort dégraissant minéral broyé, est lissée et de fabrication égyptienne.
