Description
This small vase, most probably a perfume or unguent jar, was part of the deceased's personal tomb equipment. Placed at the head of the deceased in a Classic Kerma burial, it had been an Egyptian import, wheel-made from calcareous Upper Egyptian clay of a very pure pink-beige colour that had turned light beige during firing. The ovoid body with a narrow neck has an unrestricted mouth with a lip in continuation of the body.
