Vase provenant d'une tombe très riche, caractéristique du Kerma Classique. Ce bol caliciforme est en forme de "tulipe" avec un petit fond aplati, une panse rouge foncé, un large bord noir irrégulier, et une bande blanche intermédiaire fortement marquée. Le profil de la panse est en S. La pâte, très mince, moins de 4 mm d'épaisseur, est en argile limoneuse fine, fortement lustrée. Deux signes ont été gravés après cuisson à la base de la panse, signes qui peuvent s'inspirer de signes hiéroglyphiques dont le signe nefer ("beau, bon, parfait")

Vase typical of the Classic Kerma period, originating from a very wealthy burial. This caliciform bowl has the shape of a ''tulip'', with a small, flattened base, a dark red body, a wide irregular rim and a well-defined white band in the middle. The body profile is S-shaped. The clay is very thin (less than 4mm thick) and made of fine, very shiny silt mud. Two signs were carved on the bottom of the body after firing. These symbols seem to be inspired by hieroglyphic signs, one of them the sign nefer (''beautiful, good, perfect'').
