Description
Small truncated vase with a convex base, sharply carinated body, wide but short neck and small convex lip. The Nile mud clay, greyish in colour and covered with a thick dark red slip, has been polished. This type of vessel, many examples of which exist in a variety of sizes, are frequently found in Classic Kerma burials as well as in Egyptian burials of the Second Intermediate Period.

Petit vase tronconique, au fond convexe, à la panse fortement carénée, au col large et court terminé par une petite lèvre convexe. La pâte est fine, à base d'argile du Nil, grisâtre, et recouverte d'une épaisse couche d'engobe rouge foncé et polie. Ce type de poterie, dont il existe des exemplaires de tailles variables, est fréquemment rencontré dans les sépultures Kerma Classique et égyptiennes de la Deuxième Période Intermédiaire.
