Description
This vase, which comes from the Kerma necropolis at Mirgissa/Iken, has an oval shape with a rounded but slightly pointed base. The upper section of the body tapers slightly and bears three wide, irregular and horizontal incisions (throwing marks ?). The lip is beaded and the roll bulges toward the outside. The lower section of the body is covered with black soot from smoke.

Ce vase, provenant de la nécropole Kerma de Mirgissa/Iken, présente une forme ovoïde avec un fond rond et légèrement pointu. Le haut de la panse se resserre sensiblement et comporte trois larges incisions irrégulières et horizontales (marques de tournage ?). La lèvre est composée d'un bourrelet arrondi qui ressort sur l'extérieur. La moitié inférieure de la panse est couverte de noir de fumée.
