Description
The god Montu wears on his falconhead a high plumed crown with s sun disc and two uraei. This god was revered in Hermonthis and was regarded as a god of war. Therefore he was also the patron god of the kings of the 11th Dynasty, who incorporated his name in theirs.

Montoe, die op zijn valkenkop een hooggepluimde kroon met zonneschijf en twee uraeï draagt. Deze god werd vereerd in Hermonthis en werd gezien als een oorlogsgod. Daarom was hij ook de beschermgod van de koningen van de 11e dynastie, die zijn naam in de hunne opnamen.
Montou porte sur sa tête de faucon une haute couronne emplumée comportant un disque solaire et deux uraei. Ce dieu de la guerre était vénéré à Hermonthis. Il fut aussi le dieu protecteur des rois de la XIème Dynastie qui incorporèrent son nom aux leurs.
Der Gott Month trägt auf dem Falkenkopf eine hohe Federkrone mit Sonnenscheibe und zwei Uräen. Dieser Gott wurde in Hermonthis verehrt und galt als Kriegsgott. Daher war er auch Schutzgott der Könige der 11. Dynastie, die ihren Namen mit seinem zusammensetzten.
Il dio Montu indossa sulla sua testa di falco un'alta corona piumata con un disco solare e due urei. Questo dio era adorato ad Hermonthis ed era considerato dio della guerra. In quanto tale divenne anche il dio patrono dei re della XI dinastia, che incorporarono il suo <!-->nome nel loro.
