Description
This arm of the divine mother with a lotus in her hand on which Harpocrates is sitting is a fragment of a large Isis statue. On top of Harpocrates' curly hair is a small double crown, on his chest the boy has a crescent amulet as a symbol of growth. The cornucopia in his hand is filled with grapes from which a serpent rises, both symbols of plenty. The lotus on which he is sitting is a symbol of constantly regenerating life.
