Description
The lower part of a limestone stela. On the upper part of the fragment are the feet of a standing figure, facing left, below which are three lines of hieroglyphs. The stela was dedicated to the viceroy Merymose by his sandal-bearer. We know Merymose lived during the reign of Amenhotep III from other sources. His tomb is probably from Qurnet Mura'i at Thebes, many funerary cones bearing his name have come from there. See number M11267.
