Part of the rim of a vessel made from fine creamy ware, painted with a naked couple and lotuses.The man is bearded and the woman holds a large patterned object in front of her. This is a rare example of a narrative scene in Meroitic and was probably influenced by contemporary styles in Alexandria. The scene was possibly meant to be erotic.

Gedeelte van de rand van een pot gemaakt van fijn aardewerk, beschilderd met een naakt stel en lotusbloemen. De man heeft een baard en de vrouw houdt een groot voorwerp met een patroon voor zich. Dit is een zeldzaam voorbeeld van een narratieve scène in het Meroïtisch, waarschijnlijk onder invloed van contemporaine stijlen in Alexandrië. De scène was wellicht erotisch bedoeld.
Partie d'un bord de vase, fait de pâte fine, sur lequel sont peints un couple nu et des lotus. L'homme porte une barbe et la femme tient un grand objet devant elle. Il s'agit d'un exemple rare de scène narrative dans l'art méroïtique et il est probablement influencé par des styles contemporains d'Alexandrie. Il est possible que la scène se voulait érotique.
Teil eines Randes eines Gefäßes aus feiner Keramik, bemalt mit einem nackten Paar und Lotus. Der Mann trägt einen Bart, und die Frau hält einen mit großen Mustern versehenen Gegenstand vor sich. Dies ist ein seltenes Beispiel einer erzählenden Szene im Meroitischen und wurde möglicherweise durch zeitgleiche Kunststile in Alexandria beeinflußt. Die Szene beabsichtigte möglicherweise, erotisch sein zu wollen.
