Description
Faience amulet depicting the Red Crown, associated with Lower Egypt. The suspension hole at centre was used in stringing the amulet to a mummified body. Such symbols of royal power were used in non-royal burials to guarantee the deceased safety in the afterlife.

Faience amulet dat de Rode Kroon weergeeft, die wordt geassocieerd met Neder-Egypte. Het ophanggaatje in het midden was bedoeld om de amulet op een gemummificeerd lichaam te rijgen. Dergelijke symbolen van koninklijke macht werden gebruikt in niet-koninklijke begrafenissen om de overledene veiligheid te garanderen in het hiernamaals.
Amulette en faïence représentant la couronne rouge associée à la Basse Égypte. Le trou de suspension, au centre, a été utilisé pour fixer l'amulette sur un corps momifié. De tels symboles du pouvoir royal apparaissaient dans des tombes non royales afin de garantir au défunt sécurité et protection dans l'au-delà.
Fayenceamulett, das die Rote Krone darstellt, die mit Unter-Ägypten verknüpft war. Das Loch in der Mitte diente der Befestigung des Amulettes an einer Mumie. Solche Symbole königlicher Macht wurden bei nichtköniglichen Bestattungen verwendet, um dem Verstorbenen Sicherheit im Jenseits zu gewährleisten.
