Description
Crudely moulded faience figurine of the goddess Bastet, standing and holding a papyrus-sceptre, and crowned with the sun-disk and cobra to defend the sun-god and his creation. Such figurines become common in the Late Period, after 700 BC.

Grof gevormd faience figuurtje van de godin Bastet, staand met papyrusscepter in de hand en gekroond met de zonneschijf en cobra om de zonnegod en zijn schepping te verdedigen. Dergelijke figuurtjes werden gemeengoed in de Late Periode, na 700 voor Christus.
Figurine en faïence grossièrement moulée de la déesse Bastet, debout, tenant un sceptre papyriforme et couronnée du disque solaire et du cobra. Elle était chargée de défendre le dieu-soleil et sa création. De telles figurines devinrent communes à Basse Époque, après 700 avant notre ère.
Grob geformtes Fayencefigürchen der stehenden Göttin Bastet, die ein Papyrusszepter hält und mit der Sonnenscheibe und Kobra gekrönt ist, um den Sonnengott und seine Schöpfung zu beschützen. Solche Figürchen wurden in der Spätzeit, nach 700 v. Chr., häufig.
Figurina in faience rozzamente modellata della dea Bastet, rappresentata stante e con in mano lo scettro di papiro, coronata con il disco del sole ed il cobra, finalizzato a difendere il dio del sole e la sua creazione. Tali figurine divennero comuni in Epoca Tarda, dopo il 700 a.C.
Figurinha rudimentar em faiança da deusa Bastet, de pé e segurando um ceptro em papiro, coroado com o disco solar e a cobra, para defender o deus solar e a sua criação. Pequenas figuras em faiança tornaram-se comuns na Época Baixa, após 700 a.C.
