Tijdens de 18e Dynastie begonnen mannen oorringen te dragen, in eerste instantie de koninklijke familie. De gewoonte is misschien uit Nubië overgenomen. Aan het einde van de 18e Dynastie en later werden ook zwaardere knoppen in de oorlellen gedragen.
Des hommes commencèrent à porter des boucles d'oreille pendant la XVIIIème Dynastie, d'abord dans la famille royale. Cette mode vient peut-être de Nubie. Des pendants d'oreille plus lourds sont également portés à partir du dernier tiers de la XVIIIème Dynastie et plus tard.
Ab der 18. Dynastie begannen zunächst Männer der königlichen Familie, Ohrringe zu tragen. Der Brauch könnte aus Nubien eingeführt worden sein. Schwerere Pflöcke für Ohrläppchen wurden ab dem Ende der 18. Dynastie und später ebenfalls getragen.
Gli orecchini iniziarono ad essere portati dagli uomini a partire dalla XVIII dinastia, inizialmente all'interno della famiglia reale. Tale usanza fu probabilmente introdotta dalla Nubia. Anche le più pesanti borchie per i lobi delle orecchie erano usate dalla fine della XVIII dinastia e nei periodi successivi.
Os brincos começaram a ser usados pelos homens durante a XVIII dinastia, restringindo-se inicialmente aos membros da família real. Supostamente, trata-se de um costume proveniente da Núbia. Os brincos de encaixe mais pesados foram também usados no final da XVIII dinastia e daí em diante.
