Description
This amulet is made of amethyst, a mineral that comes from the region of the Wadi el-Hudi, to the south of Aswan, or the Eastern Desert, to the north-west of Abu Simbel. Provided with a hole for suspension, the piece in the form of the head of a bovine probably dates from the Middle Kingdom.

Dit amulet is gemaakt in amethist, een mineraal dat afkomstig is uit de omgeving van Wadi el-Hoedi, ten zuiden van Aswan, of uit de westelijke woestijn, ten noordwesten van Aboe Simbel. Het stuk, dat voorzien is van een gaatje voor ophanging, heeft de vorm van een runderkop en dateert waarschijnlijk uit het Middenrijk.
Cette amulette est fabriquée en améthyste, un minéral provenant de la région d'Ouadi el-Houdi, au sud d'Assouan, ou du Dessert Occidental, au nord-ouest d'Abu Simbel. Pourvue d'un trou de suspension, la pièce en forme de tête de bovidé date vraisemblablement du Moyen Empire.
Dieses Amulett besteht aus Amethyst, einem Mineral, das aus der Region des Wadi el-Hudi südlich von Assuan oder aus der Westwüste nordwestlich von Abu Simbel stammt. Das mit einem Aufhängeloch versehene Stück in Form eines Rinderkopfes datiert wahrscheinlich in das Mittlere Reich.
Questo amuleto é fatto di ametista, un minerale proveniente dalla regione di Uadi el-Hudi, a sud di Assuan, o dal Deserto Occidentale, a nord-est di Abu Simbel. Munito di un foro di sospensione, il pezzo a forma di testa di bovide data verosimilmente al Medio Regno.
Este amuleto foi fabricado em ametista, um mineral que é proveniente da zona do Uadi el-Hudi, ao sul de Assuäo, ou do deserto ocidental ao norte de Abu Simbel. A peça tem a forma de uma cabeça de bovídeo com um orifício para suspensäo e data certamente do Império Médio.
