Part of sleeved woollen tunic with linen and purple wool tapestry ornaments. Although Egypt was conquered by the Arabs long before this tunic was made, the type of garment is Coptic, made by and for Christians in the country who retained a distinctive material culture for several centuries under Islamic rule.
