Description
Bronze mirror case in two sections, one shallow disk perfectly preserved, the other, with the fitting for hinging the two sections together, damaged around the outer rim. The case was found at Memphis, and dated to the period of Roman occupation, when the city was still a flourishing centre of trade.

Bronzen spiegeletui in twee delen; een perfect bewaard gebleven ondiepe schijf, en het andere deel met de bevestiging om de twee delen in elkaar te laten scharnieren, dat iets beschadigd is langs de buitenrand. Het etui is gevonden in Memphis, en gedateerd in de Romeinse Periode, toen de stad nog steeds een bloeiend handelscentrum was.
Etui à miroir en bronze composé de deux éléments: une partie cylindrique peu profonde pour le disque, bien conservée, et le couvercle, endommagé sur le bord, qui reprend la même forme. Un pivot permet d'assembler les deux pièces. L'étui a été découvert à Memphis et date de la Période Romaine, quand la ville était encore un centre commercial prospère.
Spiegeletui aus Bronze in zwei Teilen, einer flachen, vollständig erhaltenen Scheibe und dem zweiten, entlang des Randes beschädigten Teil mit der Scharniervorrichtung, die die beiden Stücke zusammenhielt. Das Etui wurde in Memphis gefunden und in die Zeit der Römerherrschaft datiert, als die Stadt noch immer ein blühendes Handelszentrum war.
Astuccio per specchio in bronzo diviso in due parti, una costituita da un basso disco conservato perfettamente, l'altra con l'infisso per unire le due parti, danneggiata attorno all'orlo esterno. L'astuccio è stato trovato a Menfi, ed è stato datato al periodo di occupazione romano, quando la città era ancora un fiorente centro di commercio.
Estojo de espelho em bronze, com duas secções, um disco fundo perfeitamente conservado, e o encaixe para as duas peças, danificado em volta do rebordo exterior. O estojo foi encontrado em Mênfis, e data do Período Ptolemaico, quando a cidade era ainda um importante centro comercial, embora a capital fosse Alexandria.
Estuche de espejo de bronce en dos partes; una de ellas es un disco plano perfectamente conservado y, la otra, con la parte para fijar las dos secciones, está dañada en la parte del borde exterior.
