Description
Head from the statuette of a man, in indurated limestone, a hard vein quarried near Qau, to the north of Abydos. The man wears a wig with pointed lappets, and eyes and mouth are cut in the serene style of the early 12th Dynasty. It was found at Abydos, where it may have been deposited in or near the temple of Osiris.

Tête d'une statuette masculine, en calcaire dur extrait d'une carrière près de Qaou, au nord d'Abydos. L'homme porte une perruque aux retombées latérales pointues.
