Bovenste helft van een deksel van een aardewerken sarcofaag, met gemodelleerde versiering die een menselijk hoofd en naar beneden wijzende armen voorstellen. Alleen de rechterarm is bewaard gebleven. De ogen, oogleden, neus en de mond zijn in reliëf, met gaten voor de ogen en de mond. Een aantal van dit soort schematische afbeeldingen werd door Petrie aangetroffen op sarcofaagen uit het tempelgebied te Abydos en door hem in de Romeinse Periode gedateerd en geduid als de sarcofaagen van kinderen.

The eyes, eyelids and nose, and the mouth are raised, with perforation for the eyes and mouth. A number of schematic images were found on coffins in the area of the Abydos temple, dated by the excavator, Petrie, to the Roman Period, and identified as the coffins of children.

Partie supérieure du couvercle d'un sarcophage décorée d'une tête humaine modelée et de bras repliés (seul le bras droit de la figure a survécu). Les yeux, les paupières, le nez et la bouche sont en relief, avec des perforations pour les yeux et la bouche. Un certain nombre de portraits schématisés ont été découverts sur des sarcophages dans l'enceinte du temple d'Abydos.
