Description
This jar of red terracotta dates to the Middle Kingdom. It carries no decoration. The jar has no base, and should be placed on a support and which type continued to be used until the Late Period, serving as a water container.

Deze vaas in rode terracotta dateert uit het Middenrijk. Ze draagt geen versiering. Dit recipiënt zonder voet, dat op een steun geplaatst moest worden en waarvan het type tot in de Late Periode in gebruik bleef, diende om water te bevatten.
Ce beau vase en terre cuite provient des fouilles de W. F. Petrie à Diospolis Parva. Il se caractérise par une panse arrondie et un col allongé pourvu d'un large bord arrondi. Ce type de récipient, qui nécessitant un support vu le fond arrondi, date de la fin de la Première Période Intermédiaire ou plus probablement du début du Moyen Empire.
Dieses Gefäß aus rotem gebranntem Ton datiert in das Mittlere Reich. Es ist unverziert. Dieser Behälter ohne Standfläche, der auf einem Ständer abgesetzt werden mußte, wurde bis in die Spätzeit hinein verwendet und diente der Aufbewahrung von Wasser.
Questo vaso di terracotta rossa risale al Medio Regno. Non presenta alcuna decorazione. Questo recipiente senza piede, che doveva essere posto su un supporto e il cui tipo continuerá ad essere in uso fino all'Epoca Tarda, serviva a contenere dell'acqua.
Este vaso em terracota vermelha data do Império Médio e näo exibe qualquer decoraçäo. O recipiente sem pé, que devia ser colocado sobre um suporte, servia para conter água. Este tipo de vaso continuou em uso até à Época Baixa.
