The Roman bust of Serapis is derived from a Hellenistic model. The usual locks of hair are arranged side to side instead of falling on the forehead. He wears a necklace and a tunic, and he is draped with a mantle, or cloak, that covers his shoulders.

This bust is different from the other portrayals of Serapis. A small disk is visible in the center of a headband with a high hairstyle decorated with a floral bough, instead of the traditional modius, a turban-shaped measure of grain symbolizing fertility. 

The link between Serapis and the sun god Helios is obvious here. However, a Serapis-Dionysos link is also evident from the two horizontal wings on his hair.

Imitant un modèle hellénistique, ce buste romain diffère des autres représentations de Sérapis. En effet, les habituelles mèches de cheveux sont arrangées sur les côtés au lieu de retomber sur le front. 

Drapé d'un manteau, ou cape, recouvrant ses épaules, Sérapis porte un collier et une tunique. Un petit disque est visible au milieu du bandeau qui orne sa coiffure. Celle-ci est décorée d'une branche fleurie au lieu du traditionnel "modius", ou mesure à grains en forme de turban, symbolisant la fertilité.

Sur ce buste, le lien entre Sérapis et le dieu soleil Hélios est évident.
Toutefois, comme on peut le constater d'après les deux ailes horizontales placées sur les cheveux de Sérapis, une relation existe également entre ce dieu et Dionysos.

تمثال نصفي روماني من المرمر لسرابيس، وهو مأخوذ من النموذج الهلليني. وفيه رتبت خصلات الشعر المعتادة جانباً إلى جنب، بدلا من تدليها على الجبهة. 

ويرتدي التمثال عقدا حول رقبته، ورداء التونيك ويلتف بعباءة تغطي كتفيه. ويختلف هذا التمثال النصفي عن غيره من التماثيل التي تصور سرابيس، حيث يظهر قرص صغير وسط رباط رأسه بدلاً من الموديوس التقليدي وهو نمط من تسريحة يزين فيها الشعر بفرع نبات، ويرمز إلى الخصوبة. 

كما يظهر جلياً هنا إرتباط سرابيس بإله الشمس هليوس. ومع ذلك نجد أيضاَََ ارتباطاً أخر بين سرابيس وديونيسوس ممثلاً في جناحين أفقيين على الشعر.
