The Global Egyptian Museum

The head in marble is believed to be that of Berenice the Second, wife of Ptolemy the Third. She is depicted wearing a crown, with an oval face, deep shadowed eyes, a small straight nose, and long hair reaching her shoulders. 

She was renowned for her courage and strong will, her rare beauty and golden hair, which gave inspiration to the poets of that period.

On pense que cette tête en marbre est celle de Bérénice Deux, épouse de Ptolémée Trois. Coiffée d'une couronne, cette reine a un visage ovale, des yeux cernés, un petit nez droit et de longs cheveux descendant jusqu'aux épaules. 

Célèbre pour son courage et sa forte volonté, elle était d'une exceptionnelle beauté et ses cheveux couleur or inspirèrent les poètes de l'époque.

يعتقد أن الرأس الرخامي لبرنيكي الثانية زوجة بطلميوس الثالث إذ تتجلى معصبة بتاج بوجه بيضاوي وعينان غائرتان كحيلتان وأنف دقيق مستقيم وشعر طويل يسترسل حتى كتفيها. 

كانت معروفة بشجاعتها وقوة إرادتها وجمالها النادر وشعرها الذهبي الذي كان ملهماً لشعراء العصر.
