Description
Some important artifacts were found in the tomb of the First Dynasty King Djer at Abydos, such as this wide-toothed comb, which is made of hippopotamus ivory. The king's name is engraved inside the Serekh, or palace facade. The Serekh is positioned below the depiction of the falcon god Horus on the comb. Horus' name is also written upon the comb.

Certains objets importants furent découverts à Abydos dans la tombe du roi Djer de la première dynastie, comme ce peigne à larges dents en ivoire d'hippopotame. Le nom du roi est gravé dans le Serekh, ou façade de palais. Le Serekh est installé sous la représentation du dieu faucon Horus sur le peigne. Le nom de Horus est également inscrit sur le peigne.
هذا المشط ذو الحافة المسننة العريضة مصنوع من عاج فرس النهر. وقد عثر عليه ضمن العديد من الآثار الهامة فى مقبرة الملك چر أحد ملوك الأسرة الأولى فى منطقة أبيدوس، حيث نجد اسم هذا الملك منقوشاً على المشط داخل ما يعرف بواجهة القصر الملكى والتى يعلوها شكلاً للصقر حورس. كما نجد أيضاً إسم حورس على المشط.
