Description
Steatite scarab with stylised back, inscribed on the underside with a cryptic writing for the name of the god Amun-Re. Scarabs with such writings were popular from the New Kingdom to the Late Period, and must have been considered powerful amulets.

Scarabee van steatiet met gestileerde rug, met op de onderzijde een cryptische schrijfwijze van de naam van de god Amon-Re. Scarabeeën die op een dergelijke manier waren beschreven waren populair van het Nieuwe Rijk tot de Late Periode en moeten in die tijd zijn beschouwd als krachtige amuletten.
Scarabée en stéatite au dos stylisé. Sur la face inférieure, figure le nom du dieu Amon-Rê en écriture cryptographique. Des scarabées de ce genre furent très populaires du Nouvel Empire à la Basse Époque. Ils doivent être interprétés comme de puissantes amulettes.
Ein Skarabäus aus Steatit mit stilisiertem Rücken, dessen Unterseite mit einer kryptischen Schreibung des Götternamens Amun-Re beschriftet ist. Mottoskarabäen waren vom Neuen Reich bis zur Spätzeit verbreitet und galten offenbar als wirkmächtige Amulette.
Scarabeo in steatite con il dorso stilizzato, iscritto sulla parte inferiore con una scrittura criptica per rendere il <!-->nome del dio Amon-Ra. Scarabei contenenti massime divennero popolari a partire dal Nuovo Regno fino ad Età Tarda, ed erano probabilmente considerati potenti amuleti.
Escaravelho em esteatite com parte traseira estilizada e inscrição, na base inferior, com escrita em enigma relativa ao <!-->nome do Deus Amon-Ré. Escaravelhos com este género de inscrições eram populares desde o Império Novo à Época Baixa, tendo sido, possivelmente, considerados amuletos poderosos.
Escarabeo de esteatita con la espalda estilizada que lleva en la parte inferior un criptograma con el nombre del dios sol Amón-Re. Los escarabeos con este tipo de frases fueron populares desde el Imperio Nuevo hasta la Baja Época, y deben haber sido considerados poderosos amuletos.
