Description
This statue of King Osorkon the Second depicts the king kneeling and wearing a short, pleated kilt with a belt tied at his waist. The surface of the king's offering table is rough, and the table base is decorated with the throne name and the birth name of the king in very low relief. The royal names are written in two cartouches which face each other. The first says "The King of Upper and Lower Egypt Weser-maat-ra Setep-en-ra," which means "Strong is the Sun God, the Just, the Chosen by Amun, the son of the Sun God," and the second says "Osorkon Mery-Amun," which means "Osorkon, Beloved of Amun."
