Lady Thuya was the wife of Yuya and the mother of Queen Tiye. Lady Thuya was buried along with her husband in a tomb in the Valley of the Kings at Thebes. The tomb was found nearly intact and displays the funerary furniture of high courtiers. 

The mummy of Lady Thuya, placed in three anthropoid coffins, one inside the other, has a beautiful gilded and inlaid cartonnage mask. This mask, which was supposed to preserve the features of Thuya, aimed to help the soul recognize its wrapped corpse to facilitate resurrection. 

Linen gauze covered the mask, which depicted the fine looking, distinguished and smiling face of Lady Thuya. The eyebrows, eyes and eyelids, as well as the broad collar, are all inlaid with stones and colored glass.

Dame Thouya était l'épouse de Youya et la mère de la reine Tiye. Elle fut enterrée avec son époux dans une tombe située dans la vallée des rois à Thèbes. Retrouvée pratiquement intacte, cette tombe contient le mobilier funéraire des courtisans. 

La momie de Dame Thouya est placée dans trois cercueils anthropomorphes emboîtés les uns dans les autres. De plus, elle porte un magnifique masque en cartonnage doré incrusté de pierres semi-précieuses. Ce masque était destiné à aider son âme à reconnaître son corps momifié et ce, afin de faciliter sa résurrection. Précisons qu'une gaze de lin recouvrait le masque. 

Celui-ci représentait le visage souriant et distingué de Dame Thouya. Les sourcils, les yeux, les paupières et le large collier sont incrustés de pierres semi-précieuses et de pâte de verre colorée.

كانت السيدة تويا زوجة ليويا وأما للملكة تي، ولقد دفنت هذه السيدة مع زوجها في إحدى مقابر وادي الملوك في طيبة. وربما تعطى هذه المقبرة التي وجدت سليمة ولم يعبث بها من قبل، فكرة واضحة عما كانت عليه مقابر رجال البلاط، وما كان بداخلها من أثاث جنزي. 

ولقد زودت المومياء الخاصة بتويا والتى وضعت في ثلاثة توابيت متداخلة، بقناع جميل من الكرتوناج الملون والمطعم. وكان من شأن هذا القناع الذي أخذ ملامح صاحبته أن يكون مرشدا لروح المتوفاة كي تهتدي إلى الجسد الخاص بها تمهيدا لبعثها. 

ولقد تميز القناع الذي زود بطبقة من الكتان الشفاف، بابتسامة جذابة للسيدة، كما طعمت العيون والجفون والحواجب والصدرية العريضة بالأحجار والزجاج الملون.
