Description
Ancient Egyptian kings commonly represented their enemies as prisoners or as slaves under their feet, to show how they are conquered in front of their deities and their people. The sculptor has clearly shown their ethnicity in the facial features of these African prisoners, who are wearing short wigs. They have high cheekbones, protruding eyes, and round bearded faces. The noses have been damaged.
