Description
A plate made of red clay; it is broken at one side and part of it is missing. The rim slopes slightly towards the center and there is a ridge underneath that forms the base. Serving dishes were various sorts of plates and bowls. Which sort was used depended on the kind of food being served which might be soup, meat, vegetables or grains. Table services were in various styles; some were imported and others were produced locally. Some of the locally made dishes were imitations of imported pottery.
