Headrests had been known in Egypt since the Old Kingdom. They were provided with cushions and placed at the head of the bed. 

This headrest is composed of a curved neck-support without decoration, supported by a central shaft. 

The latter is decorated with a line of hieroglyphs on the top and a column of hieroglyphs is incised on its body. 

The headrest is attached to a flat, rectangular base inscribed with the hetep-di-nesw offering formula.

Les appuie-tête sont connus en Egypte depuis l'Ancien Empire. Ils étaient équipés de coussins et placés à la tête du lit. 

Cet appuie-tête est composé d'un appuie-cou courbe sans ornement, soutenu par une tige centrale. 

Ce dernier est orné d'une ligne de hiéroglyphes sur le haut et une colonne de hiéroglyphes est gravée sur son corps. 

L'appuie-tête est fixé sur une base plate et rectangulaire sur laquelle la formule d'offrande "hetep-di-nesw" est inscrite.

عرفت مساند الرأس في مصر منذ عصر الدولة القديمة. ولقد كانت مزودة بوسائد، وتوضع عند رأس (مقدمة) السرير.

ويتكون هذا المسند من دعامة مقعرة للرقبة، خالية من الزخارف والنقوش محملة على عامود مركزي. 

وزين هذا الأخير بسطر من كتابة هيروغليفية عند القمة، ونقش عامود (رأسي) من الكتابة الهيروغليفية على البدن.

ويستقر المسند على قاعدة مستطيلة الشكل تحمل نصا منقوشا بتعويذة قربان "حتب-دينسو".
