Part of the case of an anthropoid coffin

10503b-077.jpg

The bottom of the case carries an incomplete painted image the goddess Nut. She is shown full-face, wearing the Hathoric crown and a ribbon with pendants around her neck; her dress is long and clinging, and its shoulder-straps leave the breasts bare. The bottom of the sarcophagus consists of two joined boards. The name of the goddess is written in three large, originally green hieroglyphs over her head.
