This palette, whose outline reminds that of a turtle, has very schematic traces: it has no tail, the head is almost a protuberant nose, and the legs are mere ledges. It depicts a Nile turtle, whose shell does not offer great protection and, thus, the animal has to hide during the day and go hunting at night. Despite of being opposed to the sun, the turtle had a positive nuance due to its association to the Nile.
