This fragment of polished green schist, dating from the Ptolemaic Period, depicts the head of a man with a shaven head, made distinctive by a bent nose. The facial features are realistic: note the rings under the eyes, the two folds running from the side of the nose towards the bottom of the cheeks, the high cheekbones, and the thin lips. The top of the back pillar is visible at the back of the head.
