Finely modelled and incised amulet in the form of a papyrus column, with suspension loop at the upper end. The papyrus was used in the hieroglyphic script for the word 'wadj', meaning 'fresh', making it an appropriate talisman for the preservation of the body. Amulets in this form become common in the Late Period among sets placed on the mummified body.
