Wavy rimmed pottery vessel. The quatrefoil rim is typical of Upper Egyptian ceramics of the early Middle Kingdom, as is the applied decorative 'handle'. In form and technique it may be dated to the early 12th Dynasty. This may provide the date for the rare bird vessel NMI 1902:471, though the tomb in which it was found had been robbed in antiquity, and might have been reused later.
