A man dressed in a tunic, chlamys, and boots stands against a background of light colour marked by dark dots. He has only been partly preserved. In his left hand is a staff from which a rectangular object is suspended. In between the figure and the staff are an aquatic animal of fabulous nature and two fish. The scene is framed on three sides by a border of dark lines and medallions framing winged Eros figures, who are holding a lyre, a garment, a cymbal, a cornucopia, ribbons, and vines respectively. In between the medallions are vines with grapes and leaves. On the right, the scene is framed by a vase ornamentation connected by a series of loops.
