Description

Conical-base goblet with a restricted mouth and simple lip. Of the so-called black and red style, it has been softly polished on the inside and highly burnished on the outside, in order to create a rippled effect (hence "rippled ware"). The lip is decorated with small, closely impressed oblique lines .

Gobelet à base conique, ouverture rétrécie et lèvre simple. De type rouge et noir, il a fait l'objet à l'intérieur d'un simple lissage et à l'extérieur d'un vigoureux polissage ayant généré un effet ridé ("rippled ware"). La lèvre porte un décor de petites lignes obliques impressionnées très serrées.
