Description

Bowl placed in a burial. This type of vessel was widespread and most probably mass produced. The clay is fine, common and buff-coloured. The shape is tall and hemispherical, with a tapered lip in continuation of the body of the vessel. The exterior surface has been polished, although the lump created at the beginning of the throwing process is still visible at the bottom of the vessel.  There is a red stripe on the rim.

Bol placé dans un cercueil. Cette production est très répandue et certainement faite en série. La pâte est fine, commune et chamois. La forme est hémisphérique et assez haute, avec une lèvre affinée dans le prolongement de la panse. L'extérieur est lissé, mais le début du tour est encore lisible au fond du vase. Le bord porte un liseré rouge.
