Moule à pain très long, paracylindrique. Le fond est plat et perforé, l'ouverture simple dans le prolongement. La pâte est grossière, beige orangé, à dégraissant varié, lissée. On a retrouvé à Mirgissa/Iken des dizaines de moules à pain, soit empilés à proximité des foyers avant la cuisson, soit brisés comme celui-ci car il fallait souvent casser le moule pour sortir le pain.

Very long, paracylindrical bread mould. The bottom is flat and perforated, the orifice a simple continuation of the body. The clay is coarse, beige-orange, with various sorts of temper, and has been smoothened. Dozens of bread moulds were found at Mirgissa/Iken, either stacked near hearths before firing or broken, like this particular one, as most often the mould needed to be broken in order to extract the bread loaf from it.
