Description
Small ovoid jar, almost truncated in shape, which was found at the head of the deceased in a Classic Kerma burial. The vessel is neckless and edged by a flared convex lip. The object was imported form Egypt and was made from a fine calcareous clay, pink-orange in colour, which contains numerous white calcareous ground minerals. The polishing was very carefully applied.

Petite jarre ovoïde, presque tronconique découverte dans une tombe Kerma Classique et placée à la tête du défunt. Elle ne posséde pas de col et l'ouverture est ourlée d'une lèvre évasée convexe. L'objet vient d'Égypte et a été fabriqué avec une argile fine calcaire, rose orangée, renfermant de nombreux minéraux calcaires blancs et broyés. Le lissage est très soigné.
