Description
After the harvest of corn, the ears had to be separated from the straw and the grains had to be extracted from their husk. First, the corn was trampled by herd circulating the threshing floor. The cleaning then was continued by throwing the grain into the air with the aid of balers (winnowing). The date of this example of wood, which is slightly damaged, is difficult to specify.
