Selection of different types of beads, pendants and a few amulets which were used in the composition of some necklaces found in the sanctuary of Hathor. Many of the pendants depict plant motifs, flowers or fruits. Among the amulets, several depict hieroglyphic signs such as the djed-pillar, the symbol of re-birth, the sign of life Ankh, the nefer sign, symbolising perfection, and the tit sign or Isis knot, the symbol of the goddess Isis. The beads are made from different materials and come in a variety of sizes: the majority are of faience (blue, red, yellow or white) but also of carnelian, ostrich eggshell and glass.
