Sarcophagus lid. At shoulder-level, a horizontal black line divides the panel into two sections. The upper register is decorated with two seated deities (on the right and the left) facing a cow (in the centre). Both deities are sheathed in red and hold what appears to be a composition of a was-sceptre and an Ankh, the sign for life. The deity sitting on the left could be Osiris (human-headed and with atef-crown). The left deity, a falcon-headed figure wearing a solar disc, is probably Re-Horakhty. The cow (possibly a representation of the goddess Hathor of the necropolis ?) faces towards the right. Each of her hooves rests on a small red pedestal. The lower register is the most important one and depicts a goddess facing right and standing on a XXX. In front of the deity's face, a small panel, intended to be filled with texts, was evidently never filled (black dividers on a white background). The goddess wears a close-fitting white dress with two shoulder straps, leaving the breasts bare, and a black tripartite wig. A slightly flattened disc (a solar disc ?) is painted above her head in red. Her right arm falls behind her body, her hand holding a red flower bud. Her left arm is raised in front of her chest with her hand holding up a bouquet to her face, consisting of a flower and flower buds. The space in front of her, from her feet to her waist, is decorated with two further bouquets, full of flowers and buds whose stems wander on to the sides of the lid. This goddess might be Nut, if the object atop her head is identified as a nu-vase. It might also be Hathor, with a solar disc, or the goddess of the West, as the XXX on which she is standing might indicate. This bright and colourful decoration is more complex than it would seem at first glance. Great attention has been paid to the details and the choice of colours is refined. The style, as reflected in the rendering of the body (chest, belly, pubis, buttocks and legs) is typical of the Graeco-roman period.

Couvercle de sarcophage. &Agrave; la hauteur des épaules du défunt, une ligne noire horizontale divise le panneau en deux compartiments. Le compartiment supérieur est orné de deux divinités assises (à droite et à gauche) tournées vers une vache (au centre). Les deux divinités sont gainées de rouge et tiennent un ensemble peut-être composé d'un sceptre-ouas et d'un Ankh, le signe de vie. La divinité de gauche pourrait être Osiris (tête humaine et couronne-atef). Celle de droite, à tête de faucon surmontée d'un disque solaire, est sans doute Rê-Horakhty. La vache (figuration de la déesse Hathor de la nécropole?) est tournée vers la droite. Chacun de ses sabots repose sur un petit socle individuel peint en rouge. Le compartiment inférieur, le plus important, présente une déesse debout sur un pavois, tournée vers la droite. Devant son visage, un petit panneau préparé pour recevoir un texte n'a visiblement jamais été rempli (séparateurs noirs et fond blanc). La déesse est vêtue d'une longue robe fourreau blanche maintenue par deux bretelles laissant la pointrine à découvert, et coiffée d'une perruque tripartite noire. Un disque légèrement aplati (un disque solaire?) est peint en rouge au-dessus de la tête. Son bras droit retombe à l'arrière du corps et sa main tient un bouton de fleur, peint en rouge. Son bras gauche est levé devant son buste et sa main tend vers son visage un bouquet composé d'une fleur et de deux boutons. L'espace qui s'étend au-devant de son corps, des pieds à la taille, est orné de deux bouquets de fleurs épanouies et en boutons dont les tiges serpentent sur les flancs du couvercle. Il peut s'agir de Nout, si c'est un vase-nou que l'on doit identifier sur sa tête, d'Hathor si l'on reconnaît un disque solaire ou encore de la déesse de l'Occident comme pourrait l'indiquer le pavois sur lequel elle se tient. Ce décor, aux couleurs encore vives, est plus élaboré qu'il n'y paraît au premier coup d'oeil: le souci du détail est évident et le jeu des couleurs est raffiné. Le traitement du corps (poitrine, ventre, pubis, fesses et jambes) reflète un style typiquement en vigueur à la Période Gréco-romaine.
